1. Introduction

  • Welcome to the website of First Stop Medicals LTD. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

  • These terms apply to all bookings for driver medical assessments conducted by First Stop Medicals LTD.

  • Booking a medical assessment with us constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. Website Usage

  • You are permitted to:

    • View and browse pages from our website using a web browser.

    • Download pages from our website for caching purposes in a web browser.

    • Print pages from our website for your personal use.

 

  • You must not:

    • Republish, sell, rent, or sub-license material from our website. Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or otherwise exploit material on our website for a commercial purpose.

    • Redistribute any material from our website, except for content specifically and expressly made available for redistribution.

 

  • We reserve the right to restrict access to areas of our website, or indeed our whole website, at our discretion.

3. Driver Medical Assessments

  • It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure they have booked the correct type of medical assessment.

  • First Stop Medicals LTD is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses should we be unable to conduct the medical assessment as scheduled. In such cases, we will issue a full refund.

​

  • Drivers must bring all required documents and items to their medical assessment. Failure to do so may result in the assessment being cancelled, with no refund provided. Required items include:

    • A list of medications.

    • Glasses or contact lenses if worn, along with means to remove contact lenses.

    • Proof of identity.

    • Medical summary or records if applicable.

    • For taxi medicals, full medical records or access to the NHS app (where accepted) are required. Failure to bring these will result in the loss of your deposit and necessitate a rebooking. Ensure you have these to avoid disappointment.

  • First Stop Medicals LTD will not be responsible for any losses if a driver fails their medical upon submission to the relevant Licensing Authority.

​

  • The doctor will adhere to standards set by the relevant authority. If a driver does not meet these standards, including having a blood pressure over 180/100, the driver will fail the medical. Any repeat medical assessments will incur a standard charge.

4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

  • Drivers must inform First Stop Medicals LTD of any cancellations or requests to reschedule more than 24 hours before their appointment (Monday to Friday). Requests made within 24 hours of the appointment will not be accepted, and the driver will incur the medical costs.

  • If a driver misses their medical appointment without providing at least 24 hours’ notice, a payment request will be issued to cover the costs incurred. This may be escalated to a debt collection agency if necessary.

  • If a driver wishes to rebook their appointment at a location other than Birmingham, a standard fee of £10 will be charged. Rebooking at the Birmingham location is free of charge.

5. Accuracy of Information

  • Drivers must ensure that all information provided for the medical assessment is accurate and complete. Any inaccuracies or omissions are the responsibility of the driver.

  • If errors on our part result in delays or refusal of your license, we will arrange a rescheduled appointment at no additional cost where possible. If rescheduling is not feasible, we will refund the medical examination fee only.

6. Amendments and Corrections

  • If amendments to the medical form are required after submission, we will arrange a repeat medical assessment at no extra charge. If a repeat assessment is not possible, we will refund the medical assessment fee only.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these terms will:

    • Limit or exclude any liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.

    • Limit or exclude any liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

    • Limit any liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law.

    • Exclude any liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.

  • We will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature unless caused directly by our negligence or misconduct.

  • We will not be liable for any losses arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to, natural disasters, war, or acts of terrorism.
